The first appointment is the beginning of our therapeutic relationship. As you share your journey with me, you can trust that your experience is confidential and comfortable, as therapy requires a feeling of safety and trust.
​
During the first appointment we will discuss your privacy rights, limitations to privacy, our mutual responsibilities and sign documents required by policies and laws. This first session also gives you time to express your current concerns and identify your needs. We will complete some assessments, and discuss your history so we can work towards developing your goals for treatment. This session typically takes over an hour.
When we identify your needs and goals for treatment we will begin the work on meeting those. This is the hardest part of therapy for most people because you are in a safe place to confront your feelings, work on problems and unshackle the emotional chains that have held your captive and that is courageous! It is also the most rewarding time because you build your self-esteem, and deepen your understanding of yourself. You learn the skills to cope, and live your life to the fullest.

Screening & Assessment
The Criminal Justice System & The Department of Human Services often requires screening and/or assessments of individuals to identify need for treatment services, the severity of substance abuse problems or to identify parenting ability, risk to reoffend, or mental health issues.

The Mission of Serenity In Solutions LLC is to provide quality therapeutic services to the community and work with the community in utilizing prevention & intervention techniques; and to provide education, treatment and recovery maintenance solutions.
Goals and Objectives:
Serenity In Solutions LLC has 5 Keys to Success.
1. Engaging the community to combat stigma and openly discuss substance abuse and mental illness needs in the community.
2. Provide prevention, intervention and education services to the community to facilitate understanding and knowledge about alcoholism, drug addiction, mental illness and methods to prevent and maintain recovery.
3. Facilitate the community in accessing quality treatment services, whether provided by Serenity In Solutions LLC or another provider.
4. Enhance the utilization of therapeutic services to all members of the community regardless of "severity" of problems or "diagnosis".
4. Reinvest in the community by increasing the quality of life for its citizens and developing and engaging in community events.
